Admission Testing
You must have applied to a Sheridan program for an upcoming semester before you can write an Admission Test. If you see a testing requirement through your Sheridan Application Portal, or, if you have received an email from the Admissions or International Office inviting you to complete an Admission Test, scroll down and select the "Admission Testing" category to book a date and time.
Applicants who live more than 100km from a Sheridan campus may submit a request to write virtually. Choose "Admission Testing - Virtual" below and your request for a virtual booking will be reviewed.
*We are currently only administering Admissions Tests for January 2024 applicants*
Accessible Learning Testing for HMC Students
Current students registered with Accessible Learning who have accommodations that cannot be met in-class can book below. Bookings must be made at least 7 days in advance. To book, scroll down and select the "Accessible Learning Testing" category to book a date and time. Your booking request is not final until you have forwarded your automated confirmation email to your professor.
Make-Up/Missed Tests & PLARs
Students who have received professor approval to write a test, quiz, midterm, or final exam on an alternate date may book an appointment here and write in-person at the Assessment Centre. A fee of $25 per booking applies, unless you are student registered with Accessible Learning. If you are booking a PLAR, there is no fee aside from the PLAR registration fee. Similarly, if you and your professor have made special arrangements to write together outside of the Assessment Centre, you do not need to book here. To book, scroll down and select the type of test category and select a date and time. Your booking request is not final until you have forwarded your automated confirmation email to your professor.
Apprenticeship Exemption Testing (AET)
Individuals wishing to write an Apprenticeship Exemption Test or an Apprenticeship Exemption Reportable Subject Test in order to bypass in-class studies for skilled trades can do so at the HMC Assessment Centre. When booking you will be required to make your test fee payment online. The test fees are $150 + HST for AET and $50 + HST for Reportable Subject Tests. External Examinations
Students of External institutions that wish to write their exams at the Sheridan HMC Assessment Centre may do so by booking their appointment here. Please check with your institution first to make sure you are approved to write at our location. Please note External exams have a proctor fee of $75 per exam.
